WordPress, hosted by people
who actually run servers.

Not a WordPress-only platform. Not a mass host packing 4,000 sites onto a box. Your sites live on a small, lightly loaded server we run ourselves, next to a handful of other clients' sites — fast, patched, backed up, and without a per-site fee for every blog you want to run.

ii— How we compare

vs. the WordPress hosts.

The WordPress-specialist hosts charge per site. We charge per plan. If you have two or three sites, the math gets silly fast.

iii— What you get

A real WordPress setup.

Set up for speed

PHP and caching tuned for WordPress before you log in. If a site is slow, we look at why. That's the job.

Daily backups

Files and database, kept off the server and downloadable from your dashboard. Need a restore? Email us.

Plugin & core updates

Optional. We can run them on a schedule. Or stay out of it — your call.

Security hardening

Patched servers, login throttling, XML-RPC off by default. We read the advisories so you don't have to.

Monitoring

Uptime, response time, certificate expiry. Pages us, not you.

SSL, handled

Let's Encrypt certificates, issued and renewed for every site. Nothing to remember.

Email that arrives

Contact forms and store receipts go out through Email Out, our SMTP service. $3/mo for 1,000 emails.

The human bit

A specific engineer looks after your sites. You'll have their email. They reply.

iv— Shared, said plainly

What sharing a server means here.

A few neighbors, not thousands

Your sites share a server with a small number of other clients' sites. We decide who goes where, and we don't oversell a box and hope.

The server is ours to run

Need a plugin installed, a PHP setting changed, or a file fixed? Email us and we'll do it. You keep full WordPress admin.

One IP, shared

Your sites use the server's address, as they would at most WordPress hosts. SSL doesn't mind, and mail goes out through Email Out, not the server.

Room to grow

If a site outgrows its neighbors, we move it: to Plus, or to a VPS of its own. We do the moving.

v— Migration

We move you. You don't lift anything.

01

Send us access

Existing host login, or a backup file. Whichever's easier.

02

We copy it over

We bring a copy up at a temporary address on our servers, fix any plugin issues, and check it works.

03

You review

Look around. Click things. Tell us what's wrong.

04

We cut over

DNS swap on a quiet hour. Old host stays warm for 30 days as a safety net.

Migration is free for invited clients. We've moved sites off WP Engine, Kinsta, GoDaddy, Bluehost, SiteGround, Pantheon, Flywheel, and a Linode someone configured in 2014.

[ vps ]a separate product

Need a server of your own?

Root access, a dedicated IP, or software WordPress doesn't use — that's a VPS. Its own plans and prices, starting at $25 a month.
